Basic Life Support (BLS)
Basic life support for health care providers includes Adult and Pediatric CPR, one and two male/female rescuers, foreign-body airway obstruction management, and mouth-to-mask ventilation. This course is taught in cooperation with the American Heart Association. The initial 8-hour introductory course is $80.00. The Renewal course is $40.00 (subject to change).
CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)
Applicants must be 18 years of age, and must be eligible for employment in a Missouri State-approved long-term care facility or a skilled care unit of a hospital. This course is 75 hours of classroom instruction and 100 hours of on-the-job training. Pass a background check and have a negative TB skin test or Chest X-Ray. Cost $850.00. (Subject to change)
MEDICATION AIDE LEVEL 1
This 18-hour course teaches the student how to administer medication in residential care facilities and assisted living facilities in Missouri. This course is 16 hours of classroom instruction and 2 hours of clinical instruction. Cost $250.00 (subject to change).
INSULIN ADMINISTRATION
If you are a Medication Technician or a Level 1 Medication Aide this course prepares you to administer Insulin in Facilities providing long-term care, home health care, residential care, and assisted living or Private Duty Care. The student must be an active Missouri CMT or Level 1 Medication Aide. Requires a letter of recommendation from an Administrator or Director of Nursing. This class is 8 hours lecture with 2 hours clinical. The prerequisite is admission to the class. Cost $150.00 (subject to change).
